ANGULAR-DISTRIBUTION HE(I)-NE(I) PHOTOELECTRON-SPECTRA OF H-2, N-2 AND OTHER SMALL MOLECULES

摘要
Measurements on hydrogen yield essentially equal He(I) and Ne(I) anisotropy parameters, in contrast to previous experimental results but in agreement with all theoretical calculations. For nitrogen ionized with Ne(I) the onset of autoionization is accompanied (as in oxygen) by a markedly more isotropic electron angular distribution. For the other molecules studied examination of the present and published sets of β-values reveals that the small differences again noted are indeed systematic, and can thus be allowed for. Responsibility for these effects is attributed to isotropic surface scattering. © 1979.
