摘要
A new hypothetical molecule, tetracyclo [3.3.3.13,1017,10]tridecane, named bowlane, which should possess a pyramidal carbon atom in the ground state, is proposed. The influence of ring enlargement on the pyramidality of the central atom is estimated on the basis of molecular mechanics. The difference between inverted and pyramidal carbon atoms is briefly discussed and a measure of planarization and pyramidality of a tetracoordinated carbon atom is proposed. © 1990.
