摘要
The activation energy for serrated yielding has previously been found to vary with grain size. It is suggested that this apparent variation may be explained by including the influence of grain size on dislocation density in the theory proposed by Cottrell (1953) and subsequently developed by various authors. The most reliable values of the activation energy are those derived from experiments in which the critical strains involved are small (0·1). © 1969 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
