摘要
Polymers with highly conjugated main chains, like polypyrrole, become electronic and ionic conductors if partially oxidized to polycation salts. If this redox process can be performed electrochemically and reversibly these polymers can be used as electrodes for energy storage. As an example the performance of polypyrrole as an active electrode material is reported and discussed.
