摘要
By passing a gaseous alkyl halide over a catalytic column composed of a salt, a solid support, and a phasetransfer catalyst, the substitution product is obtained. The phase-transfer catalyst can be either free or immobilized on a silica matrix; in this way syntheses of alkyl iodides and esters are possible. © 1979, American Chemical Society.
