摘要
The diffusion of Na+ ions in a new tungsten bronze, NaxWO2Cl2, is examined. The temperature dependence of the Na+ ion self diffusion coefficient for three compositions Na0.06WO2Cl2, Na0.85WO2Cl2 and Na0.93WO2Cl2 is presented. The structure of the sodium deficient compound differs from that of the two sodium rich materials. It is noted that the activation energy is similar for Na0.85WO2Cl2 and Na0.93WO2Cl2 but significantly larger than that for Na0.06WO2Cl2 and this is interpreted in terms of mutual repulsions between the Na+ ions. The self diffusion coefficients range from 2.3 to 11.0 x 10(-13) cm2 s-1 at 75-degrees-C, these values are some four orders of magnitude lower than typical values for Li+ ion diffusion in intercalation hosts.
