摘要
The effects of recombination in the Farmer 0.6 cm3 and 0.2 cm3 ionization chambers, when irradiated with pulsed electron beams from about 1 to 50 esu cm-3 per pulse, have been studied. Polarizing voltages from 12 to 1200 V were applied and the results compared with the theory of J.W. Boag (1966) for ideal cylindrical chambers. Close agreement was obtained between theory and experiment for a value of the constant mu =1000 V cm esu-1. Reasons are put forward to explain this value of mu .
