摘要：

A structural simulator for the analysis of the chemical industry is presented. The simulator is based on a graphical representation of the industry processing network in the form of technology trees. The simulator can be used to study the response of specific segments of the industry to exogenous perturbations and changes in economic scenarios. A couple of case studies illustrate the use of the approach.
