LONG-PULSE OPERATION OF A SUBMILLIMETER-WAVE GYROTRON AND ITS APPLICATION TO PLASMA SCATTERING MEASUREMENT

摘要
Electromagnetic waves of medium power (P=110 W) in the submillimeter range (f=354 GHz) are generated in long pulses (tau = 0.6 s) by a submillimeter wave gyrotron. The fluctuation levels of output power are suppressed within 8% by optimizing the operating parameters. This output has been applied to plasma scattering measurements. Preliminary results of low-frequency density fluctuations in Compact Helical System plasma are presented.
