摘要
The results from the operation of an industrial reactor for oxidation of sulfur dioxide at non-steady-state conditions caused by periodic flow reversal of the reactant are reviewed. The reactor geometry and performance parameters, i.e.,gas flow rate 20 000-45 000 m(3)/h (NTP), SO2 concentration 1.4-4.8 vol %, conversion 96-97 %, gas inlet temperature 40-75 degrees C, switching time 5-25 min, and pressure drops 3.6-6.0 kPa, are described.
