INELASTIC SCATTERING OF 17.5 MEV PROTONS FROM 51V 52CR 55MN AND 56FE

摘要：

The elastic and inelastic scattering of 17.5 MeV protons from 51V, 52Cr, 55Mn, and 56Fe has been studied, and excitation energies, spins, and collective strength parameters are obtained. The present results are compared to a variety of previous measurements from inelastic scattering studies. Several simple nuclear models are used to generate predictions for the odd-A targets in terms of the data for the even-A targets. The seniority shell model describes the low-lying excited states of 51V quite well, and a strong-coupling rotational model for 55Mn was found to be inadequate. © 1969.
