摘要：

In the present study melting experiments are reported, which were performed in a cylindrical vertical test cell with n-hexadecane, n-octadecane, p-xylene and cyclohexane as test-materials. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the influence of natural convection on melting processes in different materials enclosed in a vertical cylindrical container with variable height.
