摘要
Tunnel junctions of the type metal/oxide/noble metal are contacted with an electrolyte where the noble metal is the working electrode. Hot electrons passing through the oxide film reach the metal/electrolyte interface and occupy protonic states in the electrolyte. Pulse experiments indicate an adsorbed hydrogen phase at the silver/electrolyte interface.
