NON-DEBYE DIELECTRIC RESPONSE AND DISTRIBUTION OF ACTIVATION-ENERGIES

摘要
The non-Debye dielectric response is characterized by a broad loss peak and a constant-phase-angle behavior at frequencies above the loss peak. In this work, the main features of the distribution of activation energies, G(E), for some empirical functions frequently used to describe this behavior, such as the Havriliak-Negami and the Williams-Watts functions, are analyzed and compared with the double-exponential G(E) obtained from the ion-hopping model. A possible basis for the ion-hopping model and its relation with the Debye model are discussed.
