A 23-year-old pregnant woman presented with severe hypothermia (33.8 degrees C) as a complication of treatment for urosepsis, The baseline fetal heart rate was 100 beats/min. Despite evidence of variability, a 'sinusoid-like' pattern was observed. However, the fetal heart rate gradually returned to normal after rewarming the patient. This suggests that maternal hypothermia may induce fetal bradycardia and a 'sinusoid-like' fetal heart rate pattern.
