摘要
A new method of calculation of stress distribution in polarisation-maintaining fibres with different Young's moduli and Poisson ratios in different regions is presented. This method is simple and does not require mesh formulation which is often tedious and inflexible as in the finite element method. We apply this method to calculate the phase shift sensitivity of polarimetric fibre sensors. © 1990, The Institution of Electrical Engineers. All rights reserved.
