摘要
The properties of Grace Camet(R) metal monolith catalysts are compared with washcoated commercially-available ceramic substrate-based catalysts. Camet(R) catalysts have a higher void fraction and geometric surface area per unit volume. Mass transfer and pressure drop correlations developed for Camet(R) catalysts show that Camet(R) catalysts have a higher mass transfer-limited activity at a given pressure drop. The implications of substrate design on catalytic performance are discussed. The paper provides information on the commercial performance of Grace Camet(R) three-way, carbon monoxide oxidation, and Low Temperature-Dual Function catalysts.
