摘要
This paper views the prospects of IVHS technology from the perspective of human factors psychology. This viewpoint stresses the need for user-centred design in order to optimize the potential benefits and to avoid unintended difficulties with new technology. Three examples of the user-centred approach to IVHS are offered to illustrate the advantage of considering drivers' abilities and informational requirements at an early stage in design.
