ISOTOPE EFFECT WITH A LARGE COULOMB PSEUDOPOTENTIAL IN AN ELECTRON-PHONON SUPERCONDUCTOR

摘要
We have calculated the total isotope effect coefficient β for an electron-phonon superconductor with a large coulomb pseudopotential μ*(ωE), where ωE is the phonon energy. Results obtained using the Eliashberg equations are compared with results from the McMillan equation. With μ*(ωE) of the order of 0.5, we find solutions of the Eliashberg equations with small β and yet having Tc's in the range of 100 K. © 1990, Elsevier Science Publishers B.V. (North-Holland).
