摘要
1. 1.|Collagens in the muscle layer of Ascaris lumbricoides and in the kidney cortex of pig were isolated by a procedure involving treatment with 0.1 M NaOH, solubilization with pepsin and precipitation with (NH4)2SO4 or NaCl. 2. 2.|The amino acid composition and total carbohydrate content of the collagens were determined. They contain more hydroxyproline, hydroxylysine and carbohydrate and less proline and lysine than collagen from pig skin and from the cuticle of Ascaris. 3. 3.|The optical rotation and viscosity properties of the preparations were comparable to those of collagens from commonly studied sources. The denaturation temperatures of the muscle-layer collagen and the kidney collagen were about 40° and 37°, respectively. © 1968.
