摘要
Three common strains of green algae have proven to be highly immunogenic in experimental animals. Antisera obtained from these animals were used to study cross-reactivity among 6 strains of green algae and several nonalgal antigens. Results of gel diffusion and direct PCA studies revealed a limited pattern of cross-reactivity. However with the use of PCA and hemagglutination-inhibition techniques, broader patterns of cross-reactions were obtained. In addition, the possibility of common antigenic determinants between green algae and certain fungi has been raised. © 1969.
