摘要
A theoretical and experimental investigation of a multifrequency holographic imaging method in the acoustic region is dealt with. The fundamental relations for reconstructing a multifrequency hologram are given. The ambiguity function of the imaging system is discussed with special reference to the resolving power in the wide-band imaging signal. The results are ratified by experiments. Acoustic images of typical object arrangements show that object structures can usually be satisfactorily recognized by only using a wide-band technique. The investigations demonstrate that the multifrequency holographic imaging system has a much better axial resolution than usual holographic systems. Experimentally. B-scan-type images of sectional planes were obtained by using a linear aperture. Copyright © 1979 by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc.
