摘要
A new approach to furnace atomic absorption spectrometry uses multiple sample desolvation and ashing of samples on a filament before introduction into a graphite furnace for atomization. Filament in furnace atomization (FIFA) can more than triple the analysis rates over conventional sequentially operated furnaces. The versatility and scope of the new technique is illustrated by the determination of Pb in large numbers of blood and hair samples and also by the determination of Ag, Au, Cd, Fe, Mn, and Zn in acidified aqueous solutions. Under typical routine conditions, the RSD was 5 to 10% for 1-μL aliquots and the best RSD was 1.8%. © 1979, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
