A great number of women who are affected with an occlusion of their Fallopian tubes due to subsided inflammation - having otherwise healthy genital organs - today cannot be helped. The results of the conservative and operative treatment for sterility are limited. Measures in order to evade the tubes are not just imaginable but can be realized by animal experiments. Maturation, fertilization and division of the ovum, which is removed from the ovary, as well as the growth of the embryo would have to take place outside the body on a specific medium. After replantation on an adequately prepared endometrium completion of a normal pregnancy would be conceivable. From this point of view the literature on manipulations with human and animal germinal material published so far was classified. © 1969 Springer-Verlag.
