摘要
The specific heat of selected ceramic samples of the 81k-superconductor YBa2Cu4O8 prepared under an oxygen pressure of 85 bar is investigated. For the most homogeneous sample, the coefficient of the “linear” term at T≪Tc is γ*=4.9±0.2 mJ/(K2mole), and the initial Debye temperature is Θ(0)=350±10K. The specific heat jump at Tc2, ΔC/Tc−16 mJ/(K2mole), and the Sommerfeld constant evaluated at high temperatures, γ−12 mJ/(K mole), are much smaller than those of YBa2Cu3O7. © 1990, Elsevier Science Publishers B.V.
