A NEW SO2/SO3 SENSOR WITH AG2SO4-BASED ELECTROLYTE

摘要
ac impedance technique was used to measure the ionic conductivities of Ag2SO4-based electrolytes doped with A2SO4 (A=Li, Na or K) or MSO4 (M=Sr or Br). The results show that the ionic conductivities of Ag2SO4-based electrolytes increase several times by the doping. A new solid state electrochemical sensor using Ag2SO4-(0.27 mol%)BaSO4 and Ag/Ag2SO4 as a electrolyte and a solid reference electrode, respectively, has been developed to measure SO2 and/or SO3 in gas mixture. The new sensor can measure SO2 and/or SO3 concentration from several ppm to more than 10 000 ppm in an oxidizing atmosphere and shows a longterm stability. © 1990.
