摘要
The current-voltage characteristic (cvc) of a system of quantum wells separated by wide barriers is investigated theoretically. The current normal to the heterolayers is determined by thermo-field electron emission which is specific in some respects due to the specific character of the density of states inside the quantum well in the electric field. The cvc is shown to have a number of sections with different activation energies. The theory is compared with experiment.
