Bacterial endocarditis was observed in a 77 year old white woman with acute myocardial infarction complicated by rupture of the interventricular septum. Margins of the septal perforation as well as the anterior leaflet of the mitral valve were involved. The association of these lesions has not previously been reported. © 1969.
