S-33 NUCLEAR-QUADRUPOLE COUPLING IN THE ROTATIONAL SPECTRA OF (10-DEGREES-0) AND (00-DEGREES-1) CARBONYL SULFIDE - VIBRATIONAL-EXCITATION IN A DC GLOW-DISCHARGE

摘要
Rotational spectra have been observed in the vibrational states (10-degrees-0) and (00-degrees-1) of the isotopomer (OCS)-O-16-C-12-S-33 in an isotopically normal sample of carbonyl sulfide by incorporating a d.c. glow discharge into a pulsed-nozzle, Fourier-transform microwave spectrometer. The values determined for the S-33 nuclear quadrupole coupling constants are chi(upsilon)(S-33) = -29.7221(18) and -29.1200(12) MHz for the states (10-degrees-0) and (00-degrees-1), respectively.
