摘要
We have performed neutron diffraction experiments on TbAg2In and DyAg2In. The crystallographic structures of both compounds are shown to be of the Heusler alloy (L2(1)) type. TbAg2In orders antiferromagnetically at T(N) = (8.3 +/- 0.2) K. At low temperature magnetic ordering is cycloidal spiral. The magnetic moment of 5.6(2)-mu-B at T = 1.6 K is smaller than the free ion Tb3+ value (9-mu-B). This indicates the strong influence of the crystal field. With increase of temperature (near T = 6 K) a change of the magnetic structure to sine wave modulation is observed. For DyAg2In down to T = 1.6 K no magnetic ordering was detected.
