摘要
The effects of an externally applied d.c. electric field of 2 kV cm-1 on the superplastic deformation behavior of 7475 Al alloy were studied. The flow stress and strain hardening exponent of superplastic deformation were reduced by the electric field while the strain rate sensitivity exponent was increased. No appreciable change in elongation occurred. The possible reasons for these effects are discussed in terms of the influence of an electric field on microstructure and deformation mechanism. © 1990.
