PHYTOCHROME CONTROLLED RNA CHANGES IN TERMINAL BUDS OF DARK GROWN PEAS (PISUM SATIVUM CV ALASKA)

摘要
The terminal buds of intact dark grown Alaska pea plants (Pisum sativum) respond to low intensity red light by an enhanced rate of expansion of their leaflets. Twenty four hours after irradiation, red light was found to have increased the ribosomal fraction of the RNA content of the terminal buds. The increase in total RNA liter did not occur if the red light was immediately followed by irradiance with low intensity far red light. Copyright © 1969, Wiley Blackwell. All rights reserved
