摘要
Aircraft measurements of particle size distributions during April 1976 in urban and rural air at Milwaukee are discussed. Considerable variation was found according to location, altitude, and meteorological situation, especially atmospheric stability, wind direction, and dew point temperature. Jungean size distribution calculations are compared to the measurements, and are found to be unrepresentative except for the most general study. The Jungean equation is dissected and an ideal curve found to be dN/d log r = 0.238 φr-3 where N is the number of particles cm-3,φ is the aerosol volume (μ3 cm-3), and r is the midpoint of the radius interval. © 1979.
