ELECTRICAL-PROPERTIES OF THE A(PB1-XBX)O3-DELTA (A = BA, SR, B = SB, BI) SYSTEM

Measurements of electrical resistivity, Hall coefficient. magnetic susceptibility, and lattice Parameter of the polycrystalline samples for the system A(Pb1-xBx)O3-delta (A = Ba, Sr, B = Sb, Bi) were carried out. The Sr(Pb1-xSbx)O3-delta, Ba(Pb1-xSbx)O3-delta, Sr(Pb1-xBix)O3-delta systems, respectively, show metallic conductivity in the ranges x less-than-or-equal-to 0.2, x less-than-or-equal-to 0.30, and x less-than-or-equal-to 0.05, and a maximum carrier concentration at x = 0.10, 0.30 and 0.05. In these three systems, only the Ba(Pb1-xSbx)O3-delta system shows a maximum superconductivity with T(c) = 3.5 K. The lattice symmetry remained orthorhombic in the Sr(Pb1-xSbx)O3-delta and Sr(Pb1-xBix)O3-delta systems through the substitution, but changed to tetragonal in the Ba(Pb1-xSbx)O3-delta system at x = 0.25.
