ANGULAR-MOMENTUM TRANSPORT IN HEAVY-ION COLLISIONS

摘要
The angular-momentum dissipation in deeply inelastic heavy-ion collisions is investigated on the basis of a Fokker-Planck equation. Explicit expressions for the mean intrinsic angular momentum of the fragments, its varience, polarization and alignments as function of time are given. Using mean interaction times calculated in a phenomenological model and microscopic transport coefficients obtained previously, these quantities are computed for several reactions as functions of the initial relative angular momentum l, or the mean energy loss ΔE. The results are compared with the data for 86Kr (5.7 MeV/nucleon)+144Sm and 86Kr (7.1 MeV/nucleon)+209Bi. © 1979.
