摘要
The aggregation of isolated LHC II leads to the formation of an efficient excitation energy quenching mechanism which has been proposed as a model for DELTApH-dependent quenching in vivo. Here, I use laser-induced optoacoustic spectroscopy to show that the associated heat release is complete within 360 ns. The implications for the photochemical mechanism are discussed.
