A KINETIC-STUDY OF THE EQUILIBRIUM BETWEEN DIOXYGEN MONOFLUORIDE AND DIOXYGEN DIFLUORIDE

摘要
The equilibrium among dioxygen monofluoride, dioxygen difluoride, and oxygen has been studied in the temperature range 286 to 195 K. Forward and reverse reaction rate constants were determined. An activation energy of 13 kcal/mole was found for both reactions. The equilibrium constant in the middle of the temperature range was found to be 21.5. The estimated heats of formation of O2F and O2F2 were +2.6 and +4.5 kcal/mole. © 1990.
