The responses of the poly(pyrrole)-based ion-selective perchlorate electrode were investigated in both perchlorate and redox buffers media. Sensitivity of tested electrodes both to the changes of perchlorate ion concentrations and redox potential of the solution were observed. Slopes were characteristic: -51.3 mV/dec in the case of perchlorate ion solutions and 61 mV/dec in the case of redox calibration. Potentiometric redox sensitivity of the tested poly(pyrrole) layers was observed in presence of 1 M sodium perchlorate. Potentiometric redox sensitivity of the bare platinum electrode and perchlorate-sensitive electrode based on poly(pyrrole) in presence of 0.1 M NaClO4 were compared.
