摘要
The rates of acid hydrolysis of chloro(aniline)-, chloro(p-toluidine)-, and chloro(m-toluidine)bis(ethylenediamine)cobalt(III) complexes have been studied at different acid concentrations. Two pathways, one independent and the other dependent upon hydrogen ion concentration, have been detected for the reaction. The rate constants (k1) of the acid-independent path for the aniline, p-toluidine, and m-toluidine complexes are 7.01, 6.97, and 6.43 × 10-6 sec-1, respectively, at 50°. The activation energies have been calculated at a particular acidity for the three complexes. © 1969, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
