NATURE OF THE CHARGE-TRANSFER STATES OF THE TRIGONAL AND TETRAGONAL EU3+ CENTERS IN CDF2 CRYSTALS

摘要
Based upon the excitation spectra of C3V and C4V Eu3+ centers in CdF2 crystals, it is concluded that they are excited via the intraligand allowed transitions, previously interpreted as the CTS. The 4f6Eu3+ and O2- wavefunction overlap is responsible for anomalies in the trigonal and tetragonal Eu3+ spectra. © 1979.
