VIBRATIONAL-RELAXATION OF HF (V=3,4) BY H-2, D-2, AND CO2

摘要
The vibrational relaxation of HF (v = 3, 4) in H2, D 2, and CO2 has been studied by pumping HF directly from v = 0 to v = 4. The relaxation rates at 293±2 K of HF (v = 3) and HF (v = 4) were found to be kT3(H2) = (3.1±0.6) × 10-13 and kT4(H2) = (4.7±1.2) × 10-13 in H2, kT 3(D2) = (1.34±0.26) × 10-12 and kT4(D2) = (3.34±0.60) × 10 -12 in D2, and kT3(CO2) = (1.01±0.16) × 10-11 and kT 4(CO2) = (2.25±0.43) × 10-11 in CO2 respectively, all in cm3 molecule-1 s -1. The observed relaxation rate for HF(v = 4) in CO2 did not depend on the rotational state which was initially excited for J = 0-5. © 1979 American Institute of Physics.
