CONDUCTANCE STUDY OF COPPER(I) AND SILVER(I) SALTS OF SYMMETRICAL ANIONS IN ACETONITRILE

摘要
Conductance measurements are reported for CuClO4, CuBF4, CuPF6, AgClO4, AgBF4, AgPF6, and AgNO3 in acetonitrile at 25°. Analysis by the Fuoss-Onsager theory indicates association for AgNO3, CuBF4, and CuPF6. Single-ion conductivities for Cu (I ), Ag (I ), NO3-, BF4-, and PF6- are calculated. The anion values can be explained on a crystallographic size basis, while those for Cu(I) and Ag(I) are interpreted in terms of specific solvation by acetonitrile.
