NEW ASPECTS IN THE SYSTEMATIC STUDY OF LOW-LYING 1+ STATES IN RARE-EARTH NUCLEI

摘要
We study low-lying 1+ excitations in several rare-earth nuclei using the quasiparticle random-phase approximation (QRPA). Besides separable quadrupole and spin forces, we include quadrupole pairing and Coriolis mixing and illustrate their effect on the results (E(x)(1+), B(M1; 0+ --> 1+)). The validity of the proposed macroscopic scissors picture is evaluated. A comparison of the results obtained in the present calculations with the complete set of available data is given.
