摘要
The electrochemistry of FeS2 was investigated with anodic and cathodic polarization using both scan and steady state techniques. Emphasis was placed on anodic polarization as a function of pH, solution composition, and temperature. In strongly basic solution, a semi-amorphous film was formed and a diffusion plateau approximately proportional to hydroxide concentration was observed. No visible film was formed in acid solution, and the reaction rate increased as the pH was increased. An electrochemical mechanism is proposed which explains the pH sensitivity and other observations. © 1979 Elsevier Sequoia S.A., Lausanne.
