摘要
The dynamic characteristics of the membrane-moderated controlled release in which a sinusoidal pertubation is imposed on the surrounding temperature are presented. A model which takes into consideration the nonlinear decay of the active agent and the variant effective mass transfer properties and thermal properties is developed to display the transient behavior of the system. Effects of the amplitude, frequency, and phase angle of the sinusoidal perturbation, of the void fraction of the membrane, and of the heat of reaction on the concentration and temperature profiles and on the rate of release are comprehensively studied. The results are of practical significance of several active agent release processes, e.g., a fertilizer release process. The method of lines is employed for numerical solution. © 1979.
