(N,3N) PROCESSES AND STATISTICAL THEORY

摘要
The statistical concept of the compound nucleus model was expanded to successive emission of three particles after compound nucleus formation. Application to (n, 3n) reactions leads to a cross-section formula which corresponds to the well-known Weisskopf formula for (n, 2n) cross sections. Experimental (n, 3n) cross sections were determined for some odd-proton target nuclei in the mass region 100 < A < 150 for neutrons between 18.2 and 19.5 MeV and compared with the prediction of the statistical model. © 1968.
