A Superconducting Quantum Interference Device (SQUID) was fabricated from a YBCO thin film on MgO [100] bi-crystal substrates. The resulted device contained a pancake shape SQUID with a 25 x 25 mu m(2) square hole at center. A pair of microbridges were attached aside of the SQUID in which a 5 inn slot was located at the center and extended to the square hole. The phi-V measurement showed dV/d phi was about 40 and 4 mu V/phi 0 at 4.4K and 60 K, respectively. The flux transformer contained a 3 x 3 mm pickup loop and 75 x 75 mu m(2) coupling coil in which the center of the square hole of the SQUID was carefully aligned. Before the SQUID and flux transformer pressed together, a thin layer SrTiO3 was deposited these devices as an insulator. The flux transformer has been found to enhance the sensitivity of the SQUID.
