GROWTH-KINETICS OF UREA MONO-CRYSTALS FROM AQUEOUS-SOLUTION

摘要
The growth kinetics of urea monocrystals grown from acueous solution in the direction of the [100] and [001] faces, at 24°C has been studied. The calculated rate of molecular exchange between the crystal and the solution amounts to 1018-1020 molecules per cm2 per second. The variation of the number of growth points decreases from crystal to crystal with increasing supersaturation. Pecularities of the growth of urea crystal suggest the presence of adsorption-active admixtures in the reagent. reagent. © 1979.
