摘要
A hybrid random-phase-approximation-cluster model is developed and applied to the calculation of the dipole response of Li-11. A strong collective state at 1.81 MeV is found. Its width is predicted to be almost-equal-to 4.0 MeV. The electromagnetic excitation cross section was found to be 700 mb for Li-11 + Pb-208 (E = 800 MeV/nucleon), close to the experimental result.
