摘要：

Episodes of pesticide-related illness among farm workers are discussed. There is considerable indirect evidence that farm workers are adversely affected by pesticide residues. The true magnitude of the problem is uncertain because cases are largely undetected and grossly under-reported. There are important socioeconomic and cultural factors involved which must be understood and carefully evaluated in any attempt to study this problem.
